Free Money Transfer Service- Can it make money?

Can this service make money? The proclaim to offer free money transfer between people (a la Paypal) and very cheap online merchant transactions! What about the fees they have to pay to Visa etc. will the .5% fee they are going to charge merchants cover that? This company is backed by Steve Case (AOL) and some other heavy hitters but I'm not convinced. Great for consumers if it works though!

Duh! Of course the $100 Iphone credit was planned!

Do you think that Steve-O (Steve Jobs) does something without thinking it through. He knew when the price cut for the Iphone was going to happen! He knew people would be mad! he knew that he would look good (and in turn Apple) by giving a $100 credit (to an Apple store) would appease people! Its a win win for apple. Now I am curious what will happen with the price protection form the credit card companies. I placed a claim with AMEX yesterday for the $200 difference with my Iphone. Now will they give me the $200 or will they give me $100 because Apple is giving $100. Or will I get $200 for Amex and $100from Apple and come out ahead? (I doubt it)
