Can this service make money? The proclaim to offer free money transfer between people (a la Paypal) and very cheap online merchant transactions! What about the fees they have to pay to Visa etc. will the .5% fee they are going to charge merchants cover that? This company is backed by Steve Case (AOL) and some other heavy hitters but I'm not convinced. Great for consumers if it works though!
Do you think that Steve-O (Steve Jobs) does something without thinking it through. He knew when the price cut for the Iphone was going to happen! He knew people would be mad! he knew that he would look good (and in turn Apple) by giving a $100 credit (to an Apple store) would appease people! Its a win win for apple. Now I am curious what will happen with the price protection form the credit card companies. I placed a claim with AMEX yesterday for the $200 difference with my Iphone. Now will they give me the $200 or will they give me $100 because Apple is giving $100. Or will I get $200 for Amex and $100from Apple and come out ahead? (I doubt it)
I think this is a great example of what people can do with all this technology and design prowess that is out there! My pops has diabetes and I can see the need for devices that are functional and well designed in the medical fields!
This thing is awsome (and so is the Wii). FineTune is basically Pandora that runs on the Wii. Put in the name of the band/artist you want to hear and it will stream it to your Wii (or computer.) Holla at it!
Today the magical fedex van will deliver a Wii to my front door (unless im not here then the will leave a stupid note and no Wii.) The Wii is awesome and will inevitably ruin my life. Wish me luck in the wonderful world of Wiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Rumors on the interweb were saying the iphone would come with one and a half years of free service via cingular. Yeah right. When have the cell phone carriers ever given anything away? Thats like saying that Exxon will give away tow free years of gas for your new SUV....come on. Rear on gizmodo here
